I called a Ford Dealership, a different one from the one I am looking at this truck at, they told me that any after market equipment added to the vehicle would void the warranty. It would also not increase towing capacity.
If I wanted to look at a travel trailer what is the max size I should look at? Weight wise dry weight or Gross Weight? RV dealer websites are also confusing when they list weights of RVs. You never know if it is the dry weight or gross weight.
My advice is to stop looking at trucks and concentrate on the TT you want. It's not easy to always see what the UVW or GVWR is because some dealers misprint that info.
After you find a bunch of TT's you're interested in simply go to those brands websites and look up the specs of each. No they won't be exactly as what they will be when they roll off the assembly line but they'll be close enough to help you make a decision.
UVW=Unloaded Vehicle Weight.
GVWR=Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.
The bigger the difference between the UVW and GVWR the more payload you'll be able to carry.
After you've decided on a TT, then start shopping for a truck that can carry the tongue weight as well as all the people and cargo you'll be putting in the truck.
