I'll put my 2cents in. I've been towing a 5er for a better part of 12 years with my 1/2 ton chevy silverado. I haven't had a problem and I even tow a boat behind the 5th wheel. Having said that I'm just a weekend warrior type of camper and don't travel outside the state in mountainous or hilly terrain. There are definitely a lot more people towing 5ers with 1/2 tons now than there were when I first got my 5th wheel but, you have to have the right setup. The truck you mentioned I don't think is no where near powerful enough to tow even the smallest of 5th wheels.
