Yep everything you said is true about side loading and scrubbing however they use them on commercial semi-trailers with the same issues and more weight.

nothing similar about a semi trailer suspension or suspensions we use on RV trailers in question. Sure a semi trailer uses blocks as thats the way their designed and engineered. Our much lighter weight trailers with 1750 lb to 8000 lb axles are not.

The sub frame lift doesn't add that much weight. Maybe 100-125 lbs at the most spread over all the tires/wheels.
