How are the newer 1/2 ton trucks rated higher than my 2007 3/4 diesel? My max pin weight rating is right near 2100 lb. I have looked at the springs and diffs, axles etc on newer trucks and they are no where near as beefy as mine. So how the higher ratings?
How is the Rating higher? - you burned up payload on that diesel engine. The curb weight of my vehicle is substantially less then yours. Even the gas version of your vehicle gives you several hundred lbs more payload.
