The RAWR is on the sticker of which I provided a picture of way back on page 1. There's enough information on that sticker that you could determine the piston diameter of the left front caliper if you wanted to (2.13 inches, each, of two). The fact remains, "I can easily tow a 8000 lbs fifth wheel with my half ton", which for some reason you seem all bent out of shape about. (Most people would just read the sticker and say, oh!, ok, maybe it could)
Get over it, the old saw of a "half ton can't _____" is now out the window. Ratings have changed over time just like they have for 3/4 ton and 1 ton.
A half ton is fully capable of towing up to 100% of its ratings as long as it doesn't exceed any rating - regardless of what the badge on the side says. Its time to start talking about ratings, not what the badge on the side says.
