I have an 2003 Eagle 29 ft.
One of the most critical things is the ability for water to penetrate from the sides of the slides down around the bottom and infiltrate the partical board/plywood flooring including the carpet pad and carpet.
In my estimation, my units design in this area is flawed. Jayco designed it so the gasket beneath the galley slide has a gap on both ends. As a result, the company installed two brackets which hold sponges. What a poooooooor design!
We eventually pulled all the carpet/padding and installed allure from Home Depot. Jayco dealership says we need to be more sensitive to the tilt of the trailer. hmmmmmmmm.
We haven't discovered any cures for the water penetration. When going down the highway in rainy weather, our flooring gets soaked on both sides of slide in the galley. Has been that way since we got it.
Please look at other brands to see how they control moisture on slides. I have and have found a number of them what seems a better design than what I have.
