2013 Keystone Alpine leveling system won't work- need help

This unit has the Lippert Level up system with a control panel on the left front side. The panel will only light up and beep but nothing shows on the display even when pressing the down or up arrows, pushing left/right at the same time etc. It does nothing at all. Bought unit at auction with no manual so not sure how I can manually move the front jacks so i can hitch up to go camping. Already disconnected/reconnected battery and the control panel harness too but still does the same thing. How do i manually move the jacks? If there's a special tool or socket I need I'll have to do that, Lippert can't ship me the part before we leave for camping this weekend
  • thanks to those who responded- I ended up calling Lippert today and even though they are closed on weekends they have an on call phone tech who was able to tell me the correct procedure for getting the front jacks to move. Their manual shows 3 solenoid valves that you have to use an allen wrench to screw in clockwise and then operate a cordless drill on the end of the hydraulic motor. problem is that didn't work. I happened to notice another solenoid on the right front jack itself (left jack had no solenoid). Turns out you have to use the allen wrench to screw in ONLY that solenoid clockwise when you want just the front jacks to move manually. Now all is good, waiting on a new control board and now my camping weekend is saved. Hooray!
  • Here is a link to the owners manual you might find som help here. http://manuals.heartlandowners.org/Exterior/Stabs_n_Leveling/Lippert/Lippert%20Electronic%20Hydraulic%20Leveling%20and%20Slideout-Web.pdf
  • I see only one 7.5 amp fuse (which is good) in the compartment where the pump is.....other than a couple circuit breakers on the wall but they may be for the slides......not sure. The Lippert link says to shut off the 3 manifolds and then use a drill on the motor end.....but it still does nothing.
  • If you want to try and do it blind (no display) try this: turn it on, press the up arrow once, then the enter button then you SHOULD be in manual mode. Then you can press the button for front and the front should start down. When you want them to go up do the same only press the retract button before pressing the button for the front.

If nothing happens it is more than just the display... maybe a fuse for the hydraulic system itself.

    Hope that helps
  • hm.. they are all hydraulic (least on my 13)

I had a leak on one of the leg solenoids just before our vacation this summer, and bought a couple bottle jacks just in case.

I had a hydraulic hose repair company come, and they found the o ring blown out on that solenoid. best $95 ever spent.
did u check the 12v fuses

see page 22 here for the manual override process
