I am not questioning your statement so please don't take offense. Can't help with your problem but I don't understand how a shower can possibly back up into a sink if the sink is higher than the shower. The shower should overflow onto the floor.
Not sure if its shower water or just the water in the traps under each sink that backs up into the sinks. It actually sprays out a little
After giving this a little more thought it may be that a common vent is causing the issue and failure to vent properly is causing the sink to back up. If that is the issue the sink liquid is not coming from the shower but from the sink trap.
