Shower and kitchen sink should drain into two different holding tanks. So I am having a hard time understanding the problem unless your tanks are actually full! Have you actually verified the tanks are empty by opening the dump valves and using a flexible rod pushed into the tanks? It is possible construction debris is blocking the tank drains.
