2014 Keystone Fuzion 331 question - grey tank

I just purchased a 2014 Fuzion 331 and have a question about a grey tank handle. The rv has a single grey tank, however, there are two grey tank handles that I can pull. One is under the trailer near the axles, and the other is in the side compartment next to the black tank handle (and all of the water controls, etc).

I'm assuming the handle in the side compartment is the handle I should use to dump the grey tank. Does anyone know what the grey tank handle under the trailer near the axles is for?

Thanks in advance.
  • The handle by the black tank valve is the gray water from the bath sink and shower. The frame mounted handle near the sewer connect under the side is the gray tank that catches the kitchen sink water.

When you are going to dump the tanks, dump the black tank first. Don't rush and give it time to drain. Connect a hose to the black tank flush fitting and let it run full stream for a few minutes to clean the bottom of the tank and flush plumbing involved.

Once that tank is empty close it and open both gray tank valves. Also give these time to drain.

If you use the "blue stuff" in your black tank it will not cause foul oder. I like to add a small amount of laundry detergent and a cup of bleach to both my gray tanks before use. Just put the soap and bleach down the sink drains with running water to wash it all the way to the tank. When you drain those gray tanks the water will be clear and oder free. It cleans the sewer hose for you too.
  • Yep, the second grey handle is the galley waste tank. That's the way our Fuzion is configured.
  • Inside the compartment you have black waste tank drain (toilet) and grey waste tank drain (shower/bathroom sink)

The 'other' drain near the axles (if it is just like the grey drain valve----blade valve going to a drain cap line) is the galley waste tank drain (kitchen sink)
If it is just a small valve on 1/2" PEX line it is fresh water tank drain
  • I'm pretty sure I only have one grey tank, but I'll check again when I pick it up for this weekend's trip. If I have two grey tanks, then the answer to this riddle is an easy one.
  • Are you sure there is only one grey tank? our 324rlb has two... how many bathrooms do you have? One of ours is for the main shower and bath sink, and the other is for the galley/kitchen and rear bath sink. The locations of the handles are the same as yours.
  • I have a separate valve for the fresh water dump. It is white and is attached to a white pvc pipe that is at least 1" (probably larger). The second grey tank valve is a pull handle, just like the grey tank valve pull handle on my previous fifth wheel.
  • Is that second one your fresh water dump? That is where mine is at.
