2017 Grand design momentum 397TH price quote?

So we have been shopping for a GD 397TH and have a price quote of $83K (msrp $108K) for a 2017 model with generator, and all typical options... What do you guys think of the price???
Thanks for your input:)
  • There is a huge difference in a 16 over 17. Talking an entire year of depreciation.
  • That's a game you can play forever. And in the RV world it's about to flip again. They will be calling them 2018's by mid Jan builds.
  • True - I am waiting for an April 2017 delivery to get a 2018 Host model. My Weekend Warrior was a 2006 model although built in May 2005.
  • I just pulled up the floorplan and that's a real beauty. Our floorplan is similar and we absolutely love it. We have a second couch (fold out bed) where you have the second bathroom. Otherwise they're pretty similar.

That's a big investment. We wouldn't have bought ours except we got a killer deal on a 2015 show model. We couldn't pass it up.

Are you getting the big couch or the dinette?

Keep haggling until you get the deal that makes sense. A model that big isn't going to just fly off the lot. Plus it's the end of the season where you live, so the dealer will probably be willing to bend enough to sell the inventory.

    Good luck.
  • We love the floor plan also - has the love seat and dinning table in place of the long sofa.
Still haggling - got a great deal from them on an auto slider hitch and are now talking upgrades - bearings repacked with new seals, disk brakes vs drum, tires, etc... This forum is great, able to research and discover potential problems before they occur!
    Cheers:)
