I got stuck pulling out of our campsite with a 2wd after a rain (wet grass). Had to ask someone for help to get pulled out. Almost got stuck a couple other times. 4x4 for me since.
I got stuck on our boondocker a few years ago. Slick-as-snot volcanic clay with about 1/2" of rain on it. I was in about a 4" deep rut, with not noticeable grade, and simply couldn't get any traction. Took TWO other 4wd trucks to get me out.
