- RRinNFlaExplorerReading through this thread, I have concluded that the best answer would depend on where the 50A connection is on your rig. Mine is at the very rear of the rig, about waist high.
I use an old dishpan that is round. I can "spin" it to coil the cord inside, then store it in my front compartment, next to the battery. If I am going immediately to the next campground, the dishpan goes in the bed of the truck. - VeebyesExplorer II

A plastic clothes basket, coils up very nicely. And cheap too. :)
X2. Can't beat cheap & easy. Enough of the unit end is loose enough to plug in without uncoiling. The post end is uncoiled as needed.
Coils back into the basket as neat & easy as anchor line going in the locker. No more wrangling 30' of 50amp cable when only 10' is needed. - Itching2goExplorer II

I use a "MORRYDE EASY REEL - FOR 30/50 AMP POWER CORDS".
X2. Kids got it for me for Christmas last year. Easy install, takes up a lot less room than having it in a crate, and very easy to roll/un-roll, even in cold weather. - ol_Bombero-JCExplorer

I wrestled my cord for years... Read on here about a 5 gallon bucket and what a great idea... I cut a hole in the bottom to put the one end out with enough to hook into the trailer... And the other end would spool out as much as I would need...
Now I just press a button !! :B
X2, off door side compartment at the rear of the coach. I just push the button! :B

Electric (12V) cord reel mounted inside front compt.
Much more flexible cord than the factory furnished "anaconda".
Pull out as much as you need, push button to reel in.
Compt door has "notch" for extended (in use) cord when door is closed.
Kept option of using interior wiring to rear factory Marinco connection if desired - which also means the cord and reel can go with me to the next 5th if desired..;)
. - stickdogExplorerMine coils neatly in a 5 gal bucket.

The best part is they actually put a quality flexible cord on the reel. - Cummins12V98Explorer III
