Back on topic........
Yes the handrail folded over door CAN keep the door from being opened from inside.
Just depends on how tight the handrail fits in the indent/notched area of holder.
Mine only folds across door due to awning arm.
Mine will not allow me to open my door from inside.....I tried. Opening edge of door is too close to folding area of handrail....can not get enough leverage to force door open (unless I damage door---which would happen in an emergency!!!)
Due to a post about this a while back......I experimented, found it wouldn't and as suggested trimmed the high portion on indent area on handrail holder so that is was less defined. Handrail still will close/stay closed for travel but after the 'mod' it will now open with a shape bang o door from inside (wouldn't even budge before 'mod')
We don't have a window next to door...except for emergency windows we could have been locked inside.
As for the emergency windows....we have 3.
One in bedroom and one in each slide-out.
BUT I would never have to use one if in an accident with 5'vr......cause nobody rides in 5'vr whether two-way communications is used or not.
Just MY rule.
Others can do as they see fit......doesn't bother/affect me.
