I have the same problem with my 2013 GMC Denali with the 20" wheels. I recently bought a 2015 Spartan 1032 FW using a B&W Slider hitch & Trail Air pin box. I also added air bags which I am told to keep 40 psi in when towing. The filled air bags add to the problem when filled to 40 psi. I am 3" +/- out of level when measuring the front of the trailer & back of the axles. I mentioned this to the service advisor at the dealership where I bought the Spartan today when I took it in for service. He said that my hitch was set at the lowest level already. I asked what the minimum amount of air I could get by with in the air bags when towing but he was not sure and told me to check the owners manual. The service advisor then said that my set up really didn't look that bad compared to others coming in there but I would rather have it more level. I don't like the idea of having to raise the rear axles but I know I am probably have to do something similar to what the OP did to his.
IMHO you have too much pin and overall weight for your truck.
How does your truck sit with RV fully loaded and no air in bags? If the rear is lower than the front that is a bad combo. Since you have the truck and RV set the TV level when hooked up by adding air to the bags if it sits low. Now how does the RV sit? Too many think the truck needs to sit the same loaded as unloaded. What is the space between the bed and RV?
