OP here,
I took the truck over to the RV yesterday and I have 3 1/2 inches of clearance between the bed rails and my 5th wheel while it is sitting level.
I know 3 1/2 is not enough but need to know what the minimum clearance is so I can start making plans on how to address this situation.
The other measurements I had was 10 inches from the bottom of the pin to my truck bed. I have an extended pin and it can be raised 2 inches. I also think that since my new truck is a long bed I can get rid of the extension if that would help.
I did not go into this blind I called my RV service guy before I bought this truck and he said he can make this work. I don't think we both knew what the 20 inch wheels did to the equation.
All constructive suggestions are welcome.
