80 pounds in your truck tires is unnecessary and it ruins your ride. Not to mention it wears out your tires quicker. I ran my '09 2500 Duramax at the pressure stated on the door sticker (I don't remember the pressure). My current Duramax has 3500 pounds on the hitch (CAT scale) and I run 70 pounds up front and 65 pounds in the rear tires, which is what the door sticker says to run and it rides and handles great. BTW the CAT scale showed me that the truck's front axle weighs the same with and without the trailer, only change in weight is to the rear axle.
