So you would rather max the tire out by under inflating it rather than having the capacity it was built for? Every tire I have ever bought has come out of the shop/dealer fully inflated. If the tire wasn't intended to be run at a given psi, it wouldn't be stamped on the tire. I obviously don't understand the logic of not using all the capability you have.
As in MAXIMUM load of xxxx# at a MAXIMUM pressure of xxx psi.
If all tires were meant to run at that max sidewall pressure, why would manufacturers provide load/inflation tables that provide required pressures for loads less than the MAXIMUM rating?
Why would GM put a sticker on my truck that states 60psi front and 80psi rear FOR THE SAME SIZE TIRE!
Most passenger car tires have a max psi of 44. I guarantee that most cars run between 32 and 35psi.
Why is that?
Mine don't, and haven't for hundreds of thousands of safe miles.
Out!
Again...proving my point. THE STICKER SAYS 80. The great part of this is that we can all run however we please. You run low, I'll run as intended.
