Not really, you still have the TV GVWR to deal with! That and the fact that the stuff you load into the bed or canopy is in and out for every trip, with a 5er much of that can be stored in the 5er basement all the time between trips quicker to go, less packing.
I will say I have see many TT, come into the park with about six or more bikes in the bed!
It simply boils down to personal preference. I own both a 5er TH and a TT. To me the most important thing is the floor plan. I spend a lot more time living in it then I do pulling it around.
