Excuse me for the interruption, but a tow behind has more cargo room. It has the whole unencumbered bed of the truck as high as you care to go. Anyone with bikes realizes this right off the get go.

I have bikes and they ride on a rack behind the 5er. A 5er will have more cargo room. I can put a full size bed in my front compartment.

I can put at least 3 full size beds in the back of my pickup, and that's if I want to stay below the top of the cab. If I want to go higher, the sky's the limit. My bikes ride nice and comfortably in the bed of my truck where I can see them at all times. I've had 6 adult bikes in there plus firewood, tools, and miscellaneous stuff, etc. How many adult bikes have you had on the back of your camper?

The argument that you have more storage in your basement then the back of a pickup is ridiculous. You must of banged your head on the overhang one to many times.
