My fifth wheel weighs 12,000 loaded and the pin is 2500. I took it to scale.
I would not recommend a fifth wheel for a 1/2 ton truck. Ignore dry weights in manufacturer literature and do not listen to the salesman that tells you it is OK.
I have been told that my truck (see the sig) can tow a 37' Montana and if a Toyota can pull the Space shuttle I will believe anything that salesman tells me...
