75 Speed Limit - How Fast

I stay right around 62 mph. There are quite a few trucking companies that govern their trucks at 62 mph so I am not the only vehicle traveling at that speed. If I can find a Swift truck I will fall in behind them so that people only have to switch lanes one time.
When possible, I will be on US numbered highways when traveling instead of staying on the interstate. I can't believe the number of people that will pull up behind me and follow me even though there are plenty of places to pass.
While traveling without my TT, I am frequently in the fastest pack of vehicles. I can;t believe how many times a day people get themselves bottled up in the slow lane because they don't pay attention to what is happening up ahead.

My assumption is that most of the folks posting here about speeds below 65 MPH don't drive in the West.

Speed limits where we travel are 75 MPH as well. Sometimes 80 MPH. I usually set cruise at 70 MPH. Sometimes 75. And, at those speeds, I rarely pass another RV. But I have a ton of them pass me. Especially if I am at 70 MPH.

I am also in the camp if you are traveling under 65 MPH in the West with speed limits of 75 - 80 you are impeding traffic, and it would be safer for everyone if you chose routes off the interstate.

62-63, my fuel, my truck, my trailer, get over it.

my cruise would e set to 68-70...

I never worry what happens behind me. If you can't plan/look ahead and go safely around me you DO NOT belong on an interstate.

Ditto, that's what the right lane is for.

You DO need to worry about what happens behind you, especially if you're the cause of it. If I want to/need to drive 60 when the vast majority of traffic is moving at nearly 80, then I'm the one who doesn't belong on the interstate, and believe me, I've spend thousands of miles off the interstate for that exact reason.

I completely agree with this statement. Travelling slightly under the speed limit is not an issue but 15 - 20 MPH under the speed limit or flow of traffic is dangerous and inconsiderate. You should find an alternate route than the interstate or highway if you can't or won't keep up with traffic. RV or no RV.

Many states the speed limit for vehicles over 10,000 pounds GVW must obey truck speed limit.

Texas....a truck is a truck....55mph. Less fatigue when you keep it around 60mph. And, I'll bet your tires have a little to say about that too.
