I wonder if this owner, at some point or another, ran his landing gear all the way up to see how high it would go?
My friend did that and that is when a few days later he had the failure. When the dealership fixed it they told him to only raise the landing gear high enough to hitch and level... don't run it all the way up again. LOL..
Not sure if that is really what happened, but it sure was ironic that it happened that way.
