My post was not directed at you or anyone in general, but if you read "rhagfo" full post you will see he highlited in 5 colors statements made in the ORIGINAL post that people came back and asked questions on.. They were ANSWERED in the original post!!!:S
It happens in many, many threads thats why my statement that people quickly read the first post, don't read the thread, jump to the end and post something. And it will continue and that's OK too.

I try not to do that cause I don't want folks to think I didn't bother to read the info that was there..:B

My friend did that and that is when a few days later he had the failure. When the dealership fixed it they told him to only raise the landing gear high enough to hitch and level... don't run it all the way up again. LOL..

I guess you two are much smarter than the rest of us but... it looks as though the only one that really knows the answer to my question was the only guy there, DTaylor, unless I missed it I never noticed where he said exactly how it happen, maybe I'm wrong?

I'm curious about how they lifted the 5er? Clearly pic #3 shows a tow truck; but can they simply lift from the bottom of the frame?

Regarding hooking it back to the truck: if it had been ours, we would have had to remove the tailgate first; and I'll bet that's not easy with a gate that's damaged that badly....

It's sad to see someone's misfortune, but if we can learn from it, thanks for sharing. I too wonder how that LG leg ended up where it did (and what happened to the other leg?)
