I can only compare a 28' Class C (which we think is "rock solid" for a MH) and a 28' 5er: on our first trip with the 5er, we were coming home and got caught in that snowy/icy mess in N Georgia. After many hours of white-knuckle driving and finally reaching salted roads, I asked Hubby if he would have been more comfortable driving the "C", which has always been sure-footed in snow; and he said no - that he never really noticed the presence of the 5er behind us.
Personally, I MUCH prefer riding in the 2011 F-350 truck. It's quieter; and I like all the factory safety features like traction/sway control and airbags everywhere. The only thing I miss is that ability to stop anywhere, walk 15' and use the potty....LOL!
