- donn0128Explorer IIRomex does not like to bend. Thats one reason RV mfgs dont do it.
- djousmaExplorerMy 5th has 120v outlets in all 3 slides. That said, I assumed all did. Agree Romex won't last long. I assume they probably use twisted strand wire? Just a guess though.
- ependydadExplorerI’m actuvely in the process of it. My plan is to get stranded marine wire for a run from either a junction box or maybe the whole way to an outlet that I’ll tap off of. Anything outside will be put into wire loom.
Under the slide already has holders and 12v going to it (for lights). I’ll reuse the wire hanger/support from that.
Then up through the floor to on-wall wire mold and on-wall outlets. - ependydadExplorerHere is how they did it on one of my slides:

Here’s what I’m going to reuse for the other:

Mine has a similar setup for both living area slides and one has the stereo and tv in it. Only difference is that the wires are curled around the hydraulic rams instead of the use of a spring. No problems in 14 years. 120 volts in the slides is a common installation in most units I've seen. Look at the number of kitchen slides out there now. - Matt_NYExplorerThanks for the replies! ependydad, Those photos were most helpful.
- goducks10ExplorerMy slide has 120V.
