- greg_gurdExplorerWe traveled 13 hours to buy our KZ Durango from Ontario to Sheboygan, WI at Horn's RV. Their pricing was the best around and even factoring in a 24% exchange rate, CND to US dollars we still managed to save over $4000. for the unit we purchased. Very nice people to deal with. Check out their website. Good luck.

I live in AZ and like you could not find the model I wanted locally. I found one similar in Prescott and took a look. I then found the model I wanted in Las Vegas. Negotiated a deal thru phone and email and made a weekend trip.
The Vegas dealer did not charge tax and registration fees. They provided a temporary transport plate. They mailed the title to the AZ DMV of my choice. I then went to that DMV, paid AZ sales taxes and registration and received my plate and tags.
There is one, ONE, KZ dealer in AZ, with a location in Mesa and another one in Flagstaff. Between the 2, they have ONE KZ in stock. When a mfr won't list dealers outside about 250 miles, there's one dealer in an entire STATE and they won't return your calls, it's hard to get a warm fuzzy about dealing with that mfr. Personally, I don't have a problem traveling to see, or buy, an RV, though I'd really hope to buy locally.

This is what I'm running into. Frustrating.
If I get time tomorrow, I'll call KZ again, and see if I can get an update. Might not hurt if you call, too. Let them know that there are potential customers here that they're in danger of losing.
Lyle - zb39ExplorerI flew from PA to Cal to buy my Zephyr. Great trip with my Dad.

This is what I'm running into. Frustrating. - brokeboaterExplorerI buy used. The first two I bought 1,100 and 1,200 miles from home. Drive out, brief inspection, hitch and go. That's just my style. I got bit a little on the second one. All things considered, still a very good deal, just more of a project than I'd expected. But we put a solid 17,000 miles towing that rig from South Florida to Fairbanks AK and most points in between. Drove another 1,000 miles to buy a third unit (thought I was done with RVing but it do get in your blood) and turned it down on inspection. Rig was as expected buy my transmission started acting up on the way. I didn't want to deal with an unknown transmission shop 1,000 miles from home, nor pull the rig back with a questionable tranny. Ended up being something I could fix myself for $250 in parts. Lately I've become a Northwood fan and those don't bring much money around these parts. I bought my last rig about 100 miles from home. Not at all what I was looking for but the dealer made an insane offer so I took it. I'm still scratching my head as to why they sold it for what they did. I'm due to pick up my fourth rig on Friday and it's only about 45 miles from home. Those long distance purchases/attempted purchases were all a hoot and fun. It's all one big adventure.

Lyle - FlatBrokeExplorer IIBought mine from a private party on the Internet. Round trip 2200 miles. Really took a chance and had refusal rights when I got there.
- JohnG3Explorer IIFirst Titanium we bought that was a resonable price was in Dayton Ohio. We live on the west coast of California. Flew to Dayton, booked a motel room near the airport, rented a car and looked at the trailer. Bought it and had it shipped to us.
Second one was in Mihigan, same drill only no motel or car rental as the seller picked me up and returned me to the airport., red eye there, afternoon plane back.

We were going anyhow for a college football game.
