Air bags

My 5th wheel RV dry weight is 7530 lbs and loaded is 9950 lbs. Truck is 2014 F250 6.2L 4X4 Crew cab (max load 12,200 lbs). Would there be any benefit installing air bags on the truck ?
  • We have 'bags' on our TV but don't use them.

    Why?

We have the right truck to pull our rig.

    Just saying....
  • Added some to mine to give an a little support to the springs...found their effect on the overall ride (while towing) to be the greatest benefit. Especially on those "whoops" out on the road where the load comes down on landing.
  • My truck only dropped about one inch. I put them on to raise that inch and more importantly improve the ride which they have. I run with 25psi.
  • The bags will help with ride at a low psi like 30. If your rear is lower than level when hooked up then IMHO you need a heavier duty truck.
  • Why are you asking? If you are looking to level out the truck or keep the springs from bottoming out on bumps then yes it will help.

Like others have said, if you are looking to increase your carrying capacity, then no.

I have them and I think it helps my leveling and ride.
  • Only if you need them to help level it. They are not designed to add any load carrying capacity only to help level your vehicle.
