Can a rv air be recharged. I was told they are not serviceable and that I needed to replace the unit. Unit is working but just don't seem cold enough. Thanks in advance

As noted, it is a bit much for the average backyard/driveway repairman.
The saddle valves clamp around the line and have a single o-ring seal against the copper line. If the line is slightest bit out of round, it will leak.
A saddle valve is a quickie patch job and I would not consider it a repair.
