Air Cond issues at Campground

We arrived last nite for our second journey in our 2013 Mountaineer. The first trip I had no air conditioning issues. This trip I plugged in the power to fire up the air. It popped after 10 seconds. I'm in a 30 amp sight. breaker didnt pop and nore did the fuse. One thing, I still had the power plugged into the truck if that could be a issue. Its 90 degrees and this campground (Potholes State Park) has issues on occasions with extreme heat but my neighbours air is working. I've try unhooking and everything I can imagine. I thought that maybe the 110 was working but the 30amp popped in my site. I tried the micro which thought requires 30amp and it works fine. Its going to be 90 plus. I'm going to call the dealer soon. Any ideas??

  • Hot Water and frig. should be on propane and try only one a/c. Do other electrical items work?
  • we have a surge protector that shuts off if the voltage drops or rises to much that we hook to the pedestal.it has shut off about 5 times this year when overloaded.dirty power or to many on the circuit
  • Its a 2013 38' Montana. I have a 30 amp converter on the plug. One air con unit. Not sure about the water heater
  • Is the rig a 50 amp, using adapter?
Is the water heater on A/C or gas?
How many AC units, 1 or 2?
  • I moved refir to propane and turned all breakers off and back on again, and reset switch outside and still no go. I dont have a volt meter
  • I'm thinking you are confusing volts and amps. First thing, do you have a DVM(digital volt meter)? If so, what is the voltage coming into your coach? Many campgrounds have low voltage issues when the temps go up, especially with 30amp service. I'm also not clear on what fuse you are concerned with on AC? Make sure your fridge and WH are on propane, check incoming and let us know what it is.

    Good luck
