I've camped with people that just don't have it together and they spend the whole weekend toiling and spinning trying to do things that should have been dealt with before the trip or during routine maintenance.
I work very hard to get my "stuff" together so I can have an enjoyable weekend not having to screw around trying to fix, adjust, locate, etc. and can enjoy my weekend. The last thing I want to do is spend all weekend dealing with someone else's issues.
Obviously if something breaks or there is some kind of unforeseen issues someone has I am usually one of the first to jump in and get it taken care of so we can go back to enjoying the weekend.
I can understand the OP not wanting to spend his whole weekend working.
