The Anderson is a fine hitch, but it's a little different animal. Because it's a ball hitch, you cannot funnel the hitch pin into the hitch. The Anderson has to be centered right and left, back and forth right on that ball. Many will use a remote tv camera/monitor so they can see when the ball's lined up.
Andersons are perfectly strong, despite being made of aluminum. The design also eliminates the clunking of a regular fifth wheel hitch, especially with the pin style jaw.
