Hey guys, this is my first post. I recently bought an Amped 24FBH toy hauler in June. I've had it out for 2 trips now and I can give you an overview on the hauler.
The pro's: The unit is under 29' from tail to hitch tip, so it will fit on my driveway, it will easily fit 2 polaris sportsman 800 quads, end to end, one of the quads being a 2-up, there is a ton of storage, actually more storage than my old Cyclone 3210 5th wheel toy hauler, the unit is very well built with lots of high end features, the stereo is very impressive, especially with the led disco lights, it has a 174 gallon freshwater holding tank plus separate fuel tanks for the generator and fueling station, almost 60 gallons total, which is great for dry camping away from hookups. Ours came with the rear patio option which is pretty cool and very easy to remove, it has a massive power awning with pitch adjustment that cover almost the span of the TT.
Cons: Our unit came with a cracked shower pan, bowed shower door and a blown sub-woofer, which the dealer replaced on our first service, the front bottom bunk is very tight and impractical, the unit did not come with a ladder for the top rear bunk, the front couch/bed does not come with any type of locking mechanism once the bunk is in the upright position. Once in transit, it will fall over and crash into your atv's, utv's etc.. I had to drill 2 small holes in the frame to secure the bunk during travel. Not a big deal, but something Evergreen should have addressed. The rear upper bunk is quite small for adults (I believe 54"x80") I'm a bigger guy at 6'1" and 260 and there was no way my wife and I would fit. I ended up making a bed to fit the lower bunks and now there is a king bed in the back for us. The ceiling fan looks nice but is completely useless. I had a fantastic fan installed at our dealers in the rear roof vent and now the trailer vents and cools very quickly. Money well spent. The bathroom is very tight and small, barely enough room to squeeze by when shutting the door, the front tie down d-ring just pulled out of the floor with very little tension on my tie down strap.
Overall, we are very pleased with the quality of the workmanship and I wouldn't have thought there would be so much living space without slides, but there is. I am very happy with our purchase considering this is Evergreen's first attempt at a toy hauler. We had to make some modifications to fit our needs, but most TT owners will tell you that's part of owning owning one. Get the model with the 5th wheel style front cap, it is a much more appealing unit IMO. It would be interesting to see if Evergreen is going to make any changes and improvements for 2015. I know they had 2 different versions come out for 2014, so I doubt it. Plus with new models, comes higher prices. I hope this helps and good luck with your purchase. FYI, I too did a lot of research in the higher end bumper pull toy haulers before we purchased this one (Cyclone, Raptor, Nitro, XLR, Puma, Desert Fox...). It is rare to ever find a floorplan and TT that meets all of your needs, but this Amped came pretty close. Our biggest criteria was it had to be under 30' long and this one is under 29'. The other model that really caught my eye for fit and finish was the Desert Fox line of Toy Haulers, but we had no dealers in our area, so I was out of luck.
