Andersen Hitch Failure

I'm assuming that the guy that posted this isn't the guy that had the damaged hitch. I've searched everywhere and have not seen or heard anything about this mishap. I'd love to hear from the owner...I have a Andersen hitch like this and would like all the details so I can avoid a similar incident.

I looking the back of a pickup here in the RV Resort and it had the original UCH. The tubes were all scratch and ugly looking from things the owner was putting in the bed against the hitch. However no dings that looked like it was going to create a failure like on this virgin looking hitch. Chris

Since these pictures were first put up and this thread has started, there have been 106 comments or replys . They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we have two pictures, so I guess you might say these two are worth two thousand words. Hey Guys are we there yet at the 2000 word mark We must be getting pretty close. Boy am I ever tired of reading and looking at pictures :Z :Z

The person whose Anderson was damaged and took these pictures and posted to the Grand Design Facebook Page has not followed up with any additional information other than what has already been reported here.

Seriously, I do think it’s strange that there is no sign of the picture on the Facebook page where it supposedly originated. Nothing like a bunch of conjecture based on unsubstantiated second hand information.
