Do not need a hitch but his name is dead - 10drumExplorerThis must explain why most venders are out of stock.

Thanks HVAC, I ask about the hitch, not the person. If we knew the scum that peddle stuff that we buy everyday, we'd all be shocked. How many people made Harvey Weinstein rich? - naytherExplorer

Not me, don't go to the movies.
However once you DO know and then continue to support lawbreakers then you support their actions.
Second however is we've totally high jacked this thread.
I have no personal experience with Anderson products. - 10drumExplorer

You are correct, you have completely high jacked this thread. It doesn't matter, I have learned what I need to know. Thanks for the replies. - dedmistonModerator

Easy there, fella. You're still kind of new here. You'll almost always find the answers to your questions here, but there is also a certain amount of "conversation" that goes along with the technical Q&A.
The toy hauler community has an unearned reputation as being hell raisers. When we see a corporate figurehead like Ryan Andersen behaving so irresponsibly and vandalizing public lands (something that WE are frequently accused of), it's no surprise that members will speak out against the guy.
Personally, I support boycotting his products if he is that far out of step with his customer base and the natural resources that we all hope to enjoy, just like the boycotts we saw against Camelbak products when the company made major donations to the Sierra Club and spoke out publicly against the OHV community. I agree with anyone who votes with their dollars. - 10drumExplorerUnfortunately, thanks to the personal opinions directed toward Mr. Andersen, I feel as though some people who have had experience with his product, refrained from commenting. I was just looking for honest opinions, of the product. I was able to get some non-biased, non-personal opinions from a different forum. By the way. I did read the article about Mr Anderson at the Corona Arch. I have no doubt his apology was sincere. Perhaps sandblast could go remove the graffiti, send the bill to Mr Andersen, I'm certain he would pay for the removal. Then we could all feel better. Thanks again for the replies.

One thing about people on the forum, they will speak out if they feel strongly about something. I can't say they are known for to speaking up if they disagree with somebody. - naytherExplorer

I can't speak for a lot of toy hauler owners but many recreate with OHV's and we depend on the continued access to our public lands for recreation. Some of us have been and/or are very involved in OHV rights and anything that desecrates our outdoors and reflects badly on the OHV community (right or wrong) is detrimental to our efforts.
Also not unusual for a thread to turn sideways. If this forum does not meet your needs, have a nice day.
