I have the Anderson hitch and have found that it requires raising the nose of the 5vr much higher than the regular type hitches. I think this contributed to me needing to replace the motor on the land...
Yes it is irritating having to raise it so high for the Anderson. That being said, it's not a ton higher and would have gone out regardless. Just might have lasted a little longer. Trailers are built with the absolute cheapest stuff they can find that barely meets the requirements. Like I just found out my 14,000 pound GVW fifth wheel has 2 6,000 pounds axles. Granted over 2,000 pounds is pin weight, but still should have bigger axles.
