I use only air for the supply lines and antifreeze for the traps. I don't have anything complicated like dishwasher or ice maker though.
I heard someone suggest using Alcohol (as in Vodka) instead of antifreeze. Not sure how well that would work but you might have volunteers to help you drain it :).
