You need to hear from somebody that actually Has the Warranty like ME, why would you turn this down??? ,it did NOT raise the cost of the RV it Was FREE and Lifetime to the ORIGINAL owner, true you have to once a year get it inspected by ANY certified RV tech once a year for about a hundred bucks and yes it is ZERO deductible for covered failures but it does NOT cover Slides and 6 point auto level but pretty much everything else and NO you do NOT have to go to the original dealer for the repairs ANy dealer or CERTIFIED mobile service is fine, not a bad thing for just being thrown in on the Great deal I already got on my Montana ,my Dealer(Tacoma RV) did not have to offer this service but they did and I think that is a good thing when all I have to do is spend a hundred bucks a year to get it checked out
This pretty well describes how we felt about it. We did not go to this specific Jayco dealer because he offered the lifetime warranty. We went because he is only ten miles from the house, has an excellent reputation, has been in business since 1951, had the exact Greyhawk we wanted in stock, and we negotiated a fair price plus some extras.
Both the dealer and the insurance/warranty company, have to keep the doors open, and have families to feed. They need to make a profit. Nothing wrong with that.
But with all respect, I am confused how they can do that. If this program is "freeish" to the consumer. (just $100 per year inspection fee)
How can they stay in business? In my humble opinion they either front load the price into the purchase, or will make it up on the back end.
Think about it, you just can not conjure money out of thin air. So who is paying the freight? The buyer, is my guess
End of the day it is an extended insurance/warranty program that has been re-packaged. Not saying it is a bad thing to have, just saying to think it is free, except for the $100 inspection fee is wrong.
Math just does not add up.
