Anyone know what hitch this is?

This hitch came with the used 5th wheel I bought about 10 yrs ago. The dry weight of this 5th wheel (1995 24' coachman classic)is around 5500 lbs...it's difficult to read the tag as it is all faded. We r planning on getting a new fifth wheel & I am trying to figure out what the weight rating of this hitch is. I can't find any writing on it but it has been painted a few times. I like this old type of hitch as I can easily see when it has hitched properly or not.
I'm going to try to put in a pic but I've never posted a pic on this forum before so here goes :)
Thx for your help!

  • U guys amaze me!!! lol...Thx much....no, I can't make out any numbers on it...I can't even find where they are supposed to be!
  • Any chance you can make out the part number?

I found one picture matching yours, its listed as RBW Part number UHS-85 which is a 12k hitch with a max vertical (pin) rating of 3000LBS.

And an ebay listing with the following information "5th Wheel Truck Hitch, RBW Industries, Inc., Model UHS-85-7 (F-37 crossbar hitch and UHS-85 mounting brackets ) for easy removal when not in use (GVWR) 12000 #, Vertical Load Rating 3000#"
  • It is an RBW hitch, had one from 1989 to 2000. Don't recall the weight rating, but probably 14K as that is about the minimum that any manufacturer offered.
  • hmmmm...that didn't work...here's the URL

    I'll try again
