Are you replacing them with a different material that doesn't scratch so easily? If so, what? where? and how much?
... replacing corian counter tops with a lighter brighter color option - marielw824ExplorerWe've been full timing in our '11 3905 since April 2011. We paid $60K in Dec. 2010 for it. We've have a few minor issues. Biggest issue ... living in it and can't break down to get warranty repairs. Slides are the norm ... a couple of leaks and won't close all the way ... sticks out at bottom. More than anything we've remodeled some things in the RV, but that's personal taste and comfort.
Got rid of built in sofa and put in leather reclining sofa. Took down the day/night shades ... several broke and installed horizontal blinds in cream. Took down the vertical sides of the valances ... was too much black ... is much lighter inside now. KEPT the top valances everywhere ... living room valance has speakers, etc...
Replaced back splash behind stove, again to bring light into rig. Also had drawer installed under master bed. Our foam mattress is too heavy to lift all the time to get in & out of storage under there. NEXT is to remove carpet in bedroom and install vinyl flooring ... too much dog hair ground into carpet and the central vac isn't powerful enough to keep it clean. AND in kitchen only ... replacing corian counter tops with a lighter brighter color option and putting stainless steel facades on appliances. Will probably replace the microwave with a convection microwave. Was told this one IS convection ... but it isn't. Phew .... hey I love my projects! - rb71ExplorerSo far so good with or maiden voyage this past weekend. My only complaints is the skirting around the outer lower edges look horrible. I will address that soon other that it was great first trip with it.
good luck with your new voltage - captjohn57Explorer

Aznative89, what are you going to pull it with?
Thanks for the info...any opinion about the dual pane windows vs the regular ones, I will be full timing in it in Alaska for a few years?
I ordered a 2013 F-350 platinum DRW to pull it with.
That 350 will handle it. Sorry I can't help with the windows. I can imagine it'll be cold in winter even with the double windows. I've put a folded a blanket behind the couch to stop cold air while watching TV. - Aznative89Explorer

We have found Dutchmen very easy to deal with and responsive to any questions we have had. We purchased our unit thru Camping World.

Have you done anything to your truck to get it up to spec for towing that (very nice) beast?
I pd $72,300 + tax for my '13 3905. The Epic pkg was supposedly free. Full body paint and pretty much had everything but the dual pane windows. It was one of the first '13s, took delivery 5-1-12 so the Epic 2 and 3rd A/C wasn't available. I've had some issues but much nicer than my '08 Fuzion.
No. I considered the newer Chevy with the beefed up frame but mine is paid for. I did a lot of research of the differences and the frame is the major upgrade with a little more power and slightly larger tires. My truck pulls it great with no frame flex that I can see or feel. It stops better than any of the trucks I've had with the aftermarket brake controllers. I've replaced the tires with the factory Michelin 235/80R 17. My insurance agent said they have no requirements for the particular specs as long as it's not ridiculous (like a 1/2 ton pulling it). They will represent me and I have a lot of liability coverage. Not saying it's the 100% right thing to do but I've seen way, way worse. - maxx1015Explorer

go with 395 u get more for the pirce and better unit
Thanks guys, I'm not sure about the dealer yet the wife isn't liking what she has read. However we both really like the lay out of the 3950 and is what we really want. We are also considering a Fuzion 395. - joebedfordNomad II
