Don't mind you disagreeing Russ, but on Ford, the 250 keeps the ratings the same no matter what. The 250 will always have 10,000 max GVWR, and not more than 6,200 RAWR, which is what mine is. My truck is 350 suspended front and rear, but no rating change.
The OP should have 18" wheels, and tires rated 3,500, or more. Maybe he will chime in later

A friend has the same truck and worse weight problem than the OP. The problem for unsuspecting owners is the Ford door sticker. In keeping with the 6200 lb RAWR, the sticker lists an inflation pressure of 65 psi, which is just fine if you aren't over the RAWR. Yes, those 18" tires are rated at 3500 lbs each, but only when inflated to 80 psi. Anyway, the friend thought 'door sticker says 65 psi, so 60-65 psi ought to be good' when he really needed to be at a minimum of 70 psi. So he was running under inflated for 12 months with unknown tire damage and then it was too risky to increase psi to the right number. Had to replace the tires.
