You're probably going to be seeing more Atwood fridges in the future. They're maybe $250-$350 cheaper than the competition. Quality appears to be about the same.
Whenever a manufacturer can save money, they'll take it.
I was talking to a large RV fridge repair shop when my old fridge broke. They said that RV fridges are only good for about 10 years, and as there's no provision for draining moisture off the evaporator coils. But they're capable of being rebuilt. But even getting new coils is an expensive proposition.
