It took two of us to open the awning the first time this season - first time for us. She kept tugging on the strap while I fiddled with the latch. It finally released and worked fine. Second trip out last weekend it worked fine just one person. I did give the latch mechanism a good dousing of Fluid Film through the little holes on the housing.
