Axxess livin lite toy hauler input

Hi guys, long time reader here but first time poster.
Ive been looking at toy haulers to live in for a while now. I found the fun finder 275, weekend warrior, outback, kz inferno would be nice. But ive recently discovered the axxess 30 foot toy hauler. Im attracted to their all aluminum construction and resale value. Im tired of spending money on rent and would like to purchase something i will own one day.
Ive been doing extensive reading on the internet about these, so now its my turn to make a post with my questions.
My needs:
Single and no pets
1 dirtbike, gear, tools
Toolbox for work
Record player and 50 records

That is me in a nutshell, i dont have any other hobbies or big belongings.

What do you guys think. Btw i live in south texas. The trailer would be mostly stationary but may pull it 3-4 times a year if need be for work.

I have a question regarding insulation.. If this trailer comes (option) with 2" spray on underneath the trailer. How will i fix it if something goes wrong?
Second question- is that insulation gonna be good enough?
3rd- could i insulate the lines myself?

What do you guys think, is this doable, living in one of these full time?
Thnx for input and thoughts.
  • Being from Texas, I'll bet you're a horse-guy. Do you have any plans to transport horses in your toyhauler? I only ask because with a few sturdy ratchet-straps, some blankets and couple of horse tranqulizers, horses can easily be hauled hundreds if not thousands of miles in a toyhauler similar to the ones you are looking at.

In fact, there was someone on this board from Central California that just bought a 5th wheel toyhauler just for hauling horses.
  • Yea Budman because you know, everyone in texas has horses.
Gotta fit a cow, 2 horses and 3 goats. One of the goats can sleep with me if need be (prefered)
Budman i think you need to go smoke another bowl.. LMAO.

  • There are a lot of great things about them, but living in one might be hard. How long do you plan on living in it?
  • Good trailers. I was at the factory yesterday and saw an Axxess finished with white exterior rather than the standard reflective finish and I have to say it looked pretty awesome.

Sorry I have no real input on your questions. Although I don't see why you couldn't do your own insulation. There is also very few connections/lines on the underside of the trailer. On my VRV everything is in the front of the trailer in the storage area.
  • Thnx for the input.. Keep it coming guys.
Anyone know of the hassles of doing inaulation on the lines?
