Doesn't matter what the capability of the controller is if the panel(s) will only produce 10 watts maximum.
That means that with direct sun you probably are getting a half an amp to the the batteries.....and it doesn't take much to make up a half amp of misc. phantom draw from alarms, propane solenoids, etc.
For that 10 watt panel to keep the batteries up, you have to be positively sure that NOTHING else is connected except the solar controller. How you do that varies a bit depending on your specific setup.
