Bedliner Nightmare

I had the same liner installed on mu 2005 GMC, Had it done prior to the installation of a Pullrite 16K hitch. That truck was used until 2016 with no problems with truck bed or hitch performance. You might consider contacting MFG for your warranty situation and I'm aware you are most likely out of warranty But you need to make them aware of this installer--and you never know.......

I don't think I've ever heard of installers doing that. I thought they either loosened the bolts and sprayed under the rails or removed the rails completely and then reinstalled them when the liner dried. It doesn't seem like they should've spraying rails.

Agree with both the above. Spoke with both Rhino and Line x on a previous truck. Both recommended spraying before installing rails. Spraying the rails will make the holes too high or too narrow for the hitch to fit, as you have seen.
On edit, you should be good with new rails or possible grinding the material off and out of the holes on the original rails.

On both hitch installs Ive had done I was told have the bed sprayed then bring the truck back to install the hitch. Dont know why they would spray the rails?

If the same shop that did the previous installs what did you expect, perfection?

Like AP said, grind out the holes of existing rails and top of rails as well where hitch sits on it. Way cheaper than new rails. Should NOT have been sprayed in the 1st place. Sounds like it was easier for Rhino to than either cover them up or remove/re-install.

If you can install your hitch, I can guarantee it will chew that liner off without any problem. If you can't, just cut it down where the hitch contacts it. Not a big deal, but I agree that the installer isn't very good.

If you can get the hitch to fit "as is", you should be fine and the hitch will wear through the liner pretty quick. If not, go ahead and grind or sand the liner out where the hitch mounts and just go on. They should not have put the liner on over the rails but the only way to repair that bit of stupidity is to remove the old rails, re-spray and then install new rails. The chances of them doing that are slim and the fight to MAKE them do it probably isn't worth it. Best shot here (to my way of thinking); correct it yourself and make sure EVERYONE knows that Rhino Liner is NOT the way to go. Just an old man's 2-cents.
