We love our Redwood, but I wouldn't put it in the same class at the top of the line DRV, Excel, and New Horizon. Now both DRV and Excel make lower cost models that Redwood might compete with, such as the DRV Tradition, but overall, those three build top of the line (but heavy) units.
I put Redwood in there with Landmark, Big Sky, Infinity, any of those on the standard 12" Lippert frame with 6 pt leveling and full body paint options.
I would tend to agree with your statement.
I call the ones mentioned "want to be high end units".
Lived in our 07.5 MS full time for two years and have been very satisfied. Will be buying an Elite next year and a new 14/15 Ram with the rear air suspension.
