Best Truck

What is the best truck for towing 16,000 lb 5th wheel. I have been looking at the Dodge 2500 Cummins and the ford 250. not sure What do you think

    Every post can be summed up in one of the following 4 choices.
    A) Dodge is best
    B) Ford is best
    C) Chevy is best

    Is 16,000# the GVW of the 5er? For no more difference in price, I'd go with a 350/3500 SRW truck if you don't want a dually....My 5er weighs in at 16,200#, has a pin weight of 3400# just to give you an idea....I may go heavier one day, so I already have the truck for it.

    The new 250/2500's have quite a bit of GCWR and GVWR has also gone up, so just do some simple math and use a little common sense to make your trip's safe...Check out RAWR on both trucks to see how much payload you can actually handle.

    I like the dually for stability when towing in the mountains, but that's just me:)

    I agree with the DRW. It makes a huge difference on windy days.
