BFG Commercial TA reliability

I have seen several references to a BFG Commercial TA recall in 2012. I have been running these on my 5th wheel for 5 years now with no problem, and I'm very pleased with the price

Is the consensus still the same, that these LT tires run a close second behind the Michelins and Bridgestones?

There is no close second to the Michelin XPS Rib or Bridgestone Duravis R250 period. No poly carcass LT is going to last as long as the two above, except maybe the Bridgestone R500 which is a true commercial grade poly carcass LT tire.

At five years you should be seriously thinking about new tires. Now the two above will easily go 6-8 years, but that is not true for the TA's.

There have been a number of reports of post recall or out of recall serial numbers of TA failures.
