I bought a two bike rack which attaches to a 2in receiver hitch. I read the instructions and found in the fine print that the rack was not to be used on a trailer or 5th wheel. So I take it back and get another brand. Checked the instructions, same thing. Don't use it on a trailer or 5th wheel! So what is the problem? Anyone know?

It's the overhung load of the bike bouncing up and down due to the bad roads. 5ers don't seem to bounce as much as TT's at least my TT so I have my rack on the front of the TV but it bounces up there also. But, at least, I can keep my eye on them and tie them down with bunge cords from the rack to the vehicle.

Just be sure you tie your bikes down well. There is a significant amount of bounce back there as Dick_B said.

I got a Swagman 2 bike rack and they are rv approved, they have lock bolts that keep it tight in the receiver, no side to side wobble.

I plan on getting a pin box mount.

I got a Swagman 2 bike rack and they are rv approved, they have lock bolts that keep it tight in the receiver, no side to side wobble.

Just be sure you tie your bikes down well. There is a significant amount of bounce back there as Dick_B said.
